Abstract

The study, “Olympic Opening in the Heart of the City: Cultural Dimensions and Social Media Sentiment Analysis of Paris 2024,” presents a comprehensive examination of the cultural impact and public response to the Paris 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony. Utilizing a robust dataset of tweets, the research delves into the interplay between cultural elements and social media sentiment, revealing a predominantly positive reception of the event. Key themes such as inclusivity, cultural showcase, and grandeur emerged prominently in the discourse, underscoring the significance of cultural representation in global events. The analysis demonstrates the crucial role of effective communication through social media in shaping public perception and fostering a favorable response. This study contributes to the broader understanding of how cultural capital and social identity influence audience reactions in the context of large-scale international events, offering valuable insights into the mechanisms through which cultural elements can enhance public engagement and support.
